ABOUT ME
I've been reading and writing almost as long as I can remember, and first had my writing published at age 14 in a devotional. It was only as a young college student (I started at age 15) that I realized not everyone had the same love of words and grammar that I did, and right then an editor was born. After that, I went on to study journalism and English at the University of Florida and learn the power of editing firsthand in newsrooms including the Wall Street Journal, the Tampa Bay Times and the Jacksonville Business Journal. I've also shared my passion for editing in helping small businesses and students. While often an editor first, I have also always been a writer, blogging about Bollywood and my own life as well as writing for newspapers about TV, movies, cooking, travel and more.
I'm a seventh-generation native Floridian from a big Southern family, and a fan of Bollywood, football, cricket, country music, period dramas and science fiction. My hobbies include cooking, drawing and sewing, and I live in Tampa Bay with my husband, Pratyush, and our dog, Gandalf, a retired racing greyhound.
