"Three trips in one on a whirlwind tour of Ecuador" — I wasn't expecting much when I booked a cheap and quick five-day tour of Ecuador. I was surprised to find it was quite an amazing trip, with a great deal of variety packed into a very small area. From the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Quito to trekking through the Amazon (while staying at an eco lodge not accessible by road), it was a blast from start to finish.
"Open your heart to India" — I was an Indophile long before I actually set foot in India, with a deep love of Bollywood, the cuisine and the textiles. I wrote about my experience traveling to India the first time for a story package that also included a primer on Bollywood movies before India's IIFA awards visited Tampa in 2014 (see arts writing page). I have since returned to India many times and was married there in January 2017.
